It has been such a long time. I haven't forgotten about this place I just haven't been feeling so creative - therefore not snapping the shots I should be. I have actively decided that I will start taking more. I miss how exciting it is to take a really fantastic shot. Anyway - here are some personal updates:

+ I turned 23 last month. It was a great birthday weekend, and I never had good birthday weekend.

+ Omaha has brought me some good friends, for this I am very grateful.

- Last thursday it dropped to a windchill of 30 degrees....we have no heat in this apartment. it is still very cold, although outside it is apparently 56 degrees at this moment. Thank goodness Graham left this space heater here!

+ My cousin had her baby - Noah was born friday

- Bad complications arose from the birth for Alissa - it has been a very gut wrenching weekend and I am fairly certain my stress levels haven't been so high in a long time.

+ She is okay, now though. Breathing fine, talking, being a mom. it was a "put life in perspective" moment.

+/- I still work at Starbucks. I have some amazing co-workers and the job, for the most part, is something I enjoy but the manager seems to hate me and I barely have any hours and I hate the hours I do have to work. I miss my old job in Iowa more than anything and am casually looking for something else so my heart can feel great again.

+ I going to Toulon for the 1st time in 3 monthes in 2 weeks. I am very excited - beyond it even. This has been the longest I haven't been back to Illinois to see my family ever. I am a official adult.
